The mood of the event really depends on the flow, so I make sure my setup does not block the path but stays central enough to be part of the celebration. It is about creating a space where the bride and her friends can relax and enjoy the process. ### Planning Your Mehendi Event The mehendi ceremony is often the first major event of a wedding, and it sets the tone for the festivities. I have found that a well-planned setup makes all the difference in how the bride and her guests feel. Here is how I approach the event space. ### Lighting and Comfort If you are hosting your mehendi ceremony in Mumbai, natural light is your best friend. I always suggest picking a spot near a window or in a semi-open area. This makes the henna application easier to see and ensures your photographer gets those candid, bright shots of the henna as it is being applied. For guest areas, I recommend setting up small cushions or floor seating so that people can easily sit together, chat, and enjoy the music without feeling cramped. ### Handling Large Groups One of the biggest concerns for a mehendi function is the wait time. If you have a large group, I bring a team of experienced artists who work in my signature style. This ensures that the guests don't have to wait in long queues, keeping the energy of the event high and consistent. We organize the seating in a way that allows us to manage the flow efficiently, whether we are doing intricate Arabic designs or traditional Indian patterns. ### Creating a Personal Vibe Your mehendi setup can be as unique as you are. Whether you want a minimalist floral backdrop or a traditional 'genda phool' setup, I adapt my station to complement your decor. The goal is to make the space feel like an extension of your personality, not just a workspace. ## About Shweta Haria Hi, I am Shweta.
