I check your existing diamonds for chips and calculate the gold weight to ensure the new ring structure is durable for daily wear. We then move to 3D CAD visualization, allowing you to see exactly how your old stones will fit into a modern setting before we begin manufacturing. Many clients come to me with rings that are emotionally precious but aesthetically outdated. Perhaps the setting is too high, the band is worn, or the design simply does not match your current style. My goal is to change that. ### The Process 1. Evaluation. I examine your provided metal and stones. We identify which diamonds are sound for resetting and calculate the gold content. 2. Design. We sketch or create 3D renders. This is where we discuss new shapes, like multi-band stacks or bezel settings, that modernise the look without losing the history of the original pieces. 3. Manufacturing. Whether we melt your old gold for a new casting or simply remount existing stones into a fresh 18K gold band, the focus is on structural integrity. ### Technical Considerations Redesigning is not just about changing the look. It is engineering. When we work with existing stones, I ensure the new prongs or bezels are built to secure them properly. You receive IGI certification for your new piece, providing peace of mind that your redesigned ring is a verified asset.
