I help you nail those iconic moves and the drama without any boring technique, so you can focus on having fun on stage. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A classic duet to a song like 'Kajra Mohabbat Wala' is pure retro magic. This choreography is filled with old-school charm and expressions, perfect for a fun couple or family performance.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/844f77be-2d7b-4c71-a6e8-6572147f31dd) ## About Retro Rewind Retro songs rely more on your expressions than complex footwork. I focus on keeping your movements comfortable while highlighting the iconic filmy attitude that makes these eras special, ensuring you look natural and relaxed rather than over-rehearsed during your performance. ### Bringing the Golden Era to Your Stage The 80s and 90s are all about the vibe. When we choreograph for a retro medley, we move away from complex counts and focus on the character. Think of the drama in 'Hawa Hawaai' or the charm of old school duets. These songs are perfect for families because they do not require technical training. They require personality. ### How We Structure Your Retro Performance 1. Song Selection: We mix iconic tracks that everyone knows, making it easier for the audience to cheer along. Whether you want an upbeat 80s disco set or a classic 90s Bollywood feel, I help you select songs that flow into each other. 2. Simple Formations: For large groups or family numbers, we keep formations straightforward. This reduces stress for non-dancers and allows everyone to feel confident on stage. 3. Prop Integration: Retro themes are incomplete without the right props. We often integrate sunglasses, hats, or umbrellas into the routine to add that extra layer of style without increasing the difficulty of the dance steps. 4. Camera Ready: Because Sangeet videos are a major part of the memory, I teach you how to face the camera and project your energy. This ensures that even if a step is simple, the video looks professional. ### Travel and Logistics Based in Mumbai, I travel across the city and beyond for wedding projects. Whether you are rehearsing at home or need help managing a large group at your venue, I provide the logistical support to keep everything running smoothly. We can start with online sessions for initial steps and move to in-person rehearsals as the date approaches to refine the final look. ## About Niranjani Rao I started New Tribe Events to make dance accessible for everyone, not just trained professionals.
