I do not believe in quick shortcuts, so I personally handle everything from the initial composition—like merging different images for a memorial piece—to the final varnish coat that protects your painting for years to come. My creative process begins long before the brush touches the canvas. When you send in a photo, I look for the details that actually matter: the way someone smiles, the texture of a silk saree, or the specific light in an old venue. I work primarily with oil paints because they allow for the depth, richness, and permanence that I believe our memories deserve. It is a slow, methodical process. Oil takes time to dry, and I respect that timeline to ensure every portrait I ship from my studio is sturdy and color-fast. Over the last decade, I have learned that the best paintings are not just about perfect likeness; they are about capturing the feeling of a relationship. If you look closely at my work, you will see a focus on these textures—whether it is the intricate Zardosi work on a bridal lehenga or the soft, reminiscent look in someone’s eyes from an old, faded reference photo. I treat every commission as if I were painting it for my own family, keeping the same attention to detail whether it is a small 12x16 inch portrait or a 30x40 inch statement piece. My goal is simple: to help you hold onto the people and moments that matter most, with art that stays vibrant for generations. ## About Aashi Jain I'm Aashi, and I believe photos capture a single day, but paintings capture a feeling. I’ve spent the last decade in my studio, perfecting how to translate your digital memories into physical oil portraits that feel as real as the people you love.
