My stand mixer and Unox oven are absolute lifesavers, but they do not do the work for me. Whether I am prepping for a food exhibition or balancing a custom order while teaching a workshop, every bake is a real, hands-on process. This is not a free cake foundation, it is a business built on late nights, the right techniques, and a lot of heart. When I first started, I thought I could just jump right in, but I quickly realized that baking is about foundation, not shortcuts. That is why I invested in professional training at the School for European Pastry. I wanted to move beyond just 'making a cake' to understanding the science of eggless baking. My kitchen in Santacruz sees a lot of action. One day, I am testing a new recipe for a whole-wheat tea cake, and the next, I am packing custom gift hampers for a local festival. I believe in complete transparency about what I do. Yes, I take custom orders, but I am also a teacher. I run workshops for beginners who want to learn the same techniques I use, from scratch. I am not a factory. When you see my work, you are seeing the result of me and my husband managing the logistics, the packaging, and the late-night prep. I have been very open about the struggles of this business because I want you to know the value behind the price. Whether you are ordering a bento cake for an anniversary or signing up for a workshop, you are supporting a dream I have worked very hard to build.
