While our youngest students are busy building rhythm with djembes in play-based groups, our teens are digging deep into technique and stagecraft on professional equipment. The beauty is that the path is flexible; whether your child starts as a toddler or joins us as a teenager, we assess each student individually to find the right entry point for their personality. ### Your Child’s Musical Journey We see music as a lifelong companion, not just a hobby. That is why our curriculum is carefully segmented by age, ensuring that a 3-year-old’s need for movement and sensory engagement is met with the same expertise as a 14-year-old’s hunger for technical mastery. ### The Early Years (Ages 2.5–6) Our 'Intro to Music' and 'Musical Theatre' programs are built on curiosity. We trade screens for sounds, using percussion instruments like djembes and fun props to teach rhythm and pitch. It is all about confidence—learning to express themselves through voice and movement before they even pick up a formal instrument. ### Juniors & Teens (Ages 7–18) As students grow, so does our approach. We introduce specialized training in piano, drums, guitar, and vocals. We focus on Trinity and ABRSM-aligned technique, but we never lose the spirit that started it all. For our older students, it is not just about the classroom; it is about the stage. Whether it is a drum circle or a full-scale musical at the NCPA, we want them to feel the thrill of performing for a real audience. ### Why Our Approach Works Music education here is personal. Because we are a team of practicing musicians and educators, we know when to push for technique and when to allow space for creative freedom. We have seen toddlers who started with us in summer camps grow into confident young adults playing solo sets at professional venues. If you are looking for music classes in South Mumbai that prioritize the student's personal growth alongside their skill, come visit us in Tardeo. We are happy to chat about which batch suits your child’s needs, not just their age. ## About 88 - The Piano Academy We are Shivani and Vivek, the siblings behind the academy.
