It combines my love for Tamil script, vibrant spray paint art, and our family's belief in Dr. Ambedkar's ideals. This is how I transform a personal space into a powerful statement wall.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/81e3683d-0213-475f-9b7d-944fc311d710) - ![An immersive view of "The Thinai Project," a four-wall installation in a private residence. Whether it is letting your children add the final strokes to a bedroom mural or sourcing natural pigments for a community project, I focus on the experience as much as the art. Expect a messy, hands-on process where the result feels like it grew naturally from your home. ### Murals for Every Space My work spans from high-energy urban graffiti with custom typography to intricate, brush-painted heritage motifs inspired by classical Indian art. I believe a wall is more than a boundary; it is a canvas for your story. ### How We Start Before the first drop of paint, we talk. I need to understand the energy of your space—whether it is a living room that needs warmth, a daycare that requires interaction, or a public wall that needs to spark a conversation. We discuss your vision, the lighting, and the mood you want to create. ### The Practical Details * **Surface & Material:** I use a mix of high-pressure aerosols for clean lines and premium acrylic emulsions for brushwork. For high-traffic kids' areas, I apply heavy-duty polyurethane varnish to ensure the art is scuff-resistant and mop-friendly. * **Durability:** Whether indoor or semi-outdoor, I use UV-resistant coatings to ensure longevity. * **Collaboration:** I love involving family members or community volunteers in the painting process. It adds a layer of ownership that you just do not get with standard wallpaper or prints. ### My Portfolio You will see examples here of everything from my 'Thinai Project' on silk to playful graffiti for teen bedrooms and traditional kolam-inspired living room walls. I do not believe in one size fitting all. Every stroke is intentional, and every project is a direct collaboration. If you have a wall that feels too quiet, let us talk about how to make it speak. ## About Girija I am a middle-aged artist who believes that truth is art and art is political. I do not do generic decor; I paint realities, histories, and joy directly onto your walls, often while getting my own hands messy with the people who live there.
