We turn urban facade spaces into extensions of nature using cascading vines, textured brick, and tropical greenery that thrives in our local climate. ## Photos and videos - ![This is a sketch brought to life. We focus heavily on waterproofing and building masonry planters with proper drainage cells so your home stays damp-free while supporting lush growth. We want those cascading vines to thrive, not just survive, so we select specific tropical species like Monsteras and Fiddle-Leaf Figs that handle our local sunlight patterns well. ### More Than Just Decoration When we talk about green facades, we are really talking about blurring the lines between inside and outside. A building should feel like it is breathing. We use cascading plants, built-in masonry planters, and green walls to soften the architectural lines of a home. Whether it is a small city balcony or a larger rooftop, the goal is to make the space feel like a sanctuary. ### The Leapingfrog Approach Our design philosophy relies on the interplay of raw materials and living elements. We love the contrast of exposed wire-cut brick or rough stone against the vibrant green of tropical foliage. It creates a space that feels grounded and honest. We often integrate: * **Waterproofing Systems:** A 3-layer system with geotextile lining is standard for all our planter construction to prevent any seepage into your interiors. * **Light and Shadow:** We use glass blocks and strategic lighting to ensure your balcony looks just as good at night as it does during the day. * **Plant Selection:** We curate a mix of shade-loving tropicals like Areca Palms and Birds of Paradise, planted in a high-nutrient soil ecosystem of red soil, manure, and cocopeat. ### Making It Yours Design is a collaborative process. From the moment we sketch the layout to the day we plant the final specimen tree, you are involved. We want you to see the process, understand the materials, and share in the excitement of watching the greenery take over. Whether you have a tight balcony space in Bengaluru or a expansive terrace in Hyderabad, we build to handle the specific load and climate needs of your structure. ## About 1Leapingfrog Studio We are Leapingfrog Studio, or just 'the gang' to those we work with. We spend our days obsessing over how light hits a brick wall and figuring out how to fit a jungle onto your balcony.
